Winner of the Best Temporary Exhibition of 2020 prize given by APOM (Portuguese Association of Museology), One King and Three Emperors was an exhibition about Portugal, China, and Macao in the time of King João V, presented in Museu de São Roque, in Lisbon.
Yellow is held as the symbolic color of the legendary emperors of ancient China, considered as the most beautiful and prestigious one. That inspired us to created this 'yellow maze' that takes visitors on a trip to the 18th century through never-before-seen objects and a compelling story about the Luso-Chinese relationship in their global dimension. I designed the exhibition itself, the promotional pieces, as well as the exhibition's catalog.
This project was designed at silvadesigners studio.
